Fine & unusual french globe clock with ormolu cupid holding a ball above his head& sitting on white marble base with applied ormolu mounts. the 8 day bell strike lever movemen is held within the patinated bronze ball which is decorated with stars representing the firmament. circa 1860. 14 inches high by 6.5 inches diameter.
