A victorian coromandel wood fitted jewel box in outstanding original condition with a key. the lid and front are inlaid with floral decoration of mother of pearl, abalone and brass and the interior has all the original dark blue velvet. the main part of the box has a compartmentalised lift out lid and there is a secret lower drawer which is arranged to take necklaces, a fob watch and earrings etc. altogether in fabulous original condition. circa 1875, measures 12 x 9 x 7 inches, 30 x 23 x 18 cms.
