A fine orientalist bronze of a tribesman on horseback having just killed a lion with his lance. the lion with mouth agape lies at the feet of the horse. the tribesman with lance in hand looks down at his kill while his well muscled mount prances. signed waagen. circa 1880. height 17 inches by 14 inches wide by 8 inches deep ( 42.5 cms by 35 cms by 20 cms).
