Old European Hungarian Vilmos Matrai 1916 Painting

Up for views and bidding consideration is this old and beautiful painting signed at the bottom right: v. matrai.

technique: oil on cardboard.

dated: 1916.

original frame that was never opened as pictured.

excellent condition. you can appreciate some stains in the pictures.

these stains are not on the painting but on the glass. when the work was carefully framed, a little 3 mm. air camera was left between the glass and the painting.

i cannot show this in the picture but by the reflection i can see that the stains are on the glass.

it seems to show a landscape from budapest since it was the main author's temathic.

measurements without including the frame: 8" 1/2 x 5" 1/4 (21,5 x 13,3 cm.)
