Stylish british bakelite vitascope automaton clock. made in the isle of man in the 1940's this elegant clock sports a rocking automaton ship lit from behind through a revolving drum which as it rotates gives an impression of a changing sky. the beautifully made little ship rocks up and down in the waves while the backlit sky changes seamlessly from dawn through to day and then to sunset rotating approxmately once every 10 minutes. 12.5 inches tall by 10.5 inches wide by 6.5 inches deep ( 31cms by 26 cms by 16 cms).
