A fine pair of art deco period bronze and ivory figures of a boy and a girl in medieval costume. both figures have finely carved heads and hands and their legs, arms and torsos are in very well cast and finished gilt bronze. the girl, wearing a bonnet and a full length kirtle, has a tasseled bag attached to a long belt and is holding a rose. the boy with feather in his cap has shoulder length hair, a short jacket belted at the waist and highly decorated. he also has lace cuffs in pierced ivory and is reading from an ivory book. both children are wearing turquoise gems, the girl as a clasp broach and the boy on a clasp holding the feather to his cap.
both children stand on shaped onyx bases.
both figures are in mint condition with no damages or losses.
h.keck was a well known artist of the 1920s and 30's and was austrian.
each figure 6.5 inches high on a base 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches ( 16.25 cms by 6.25 cms by 6.25 cms).
