Antique english boulle desk set of the edwardian period retailed by jc vickery of regent street, london who had the royal appointment of edward vii and queen alexandra. the fabulous desk set or ink stand is of scarlet tortoiseshell and brass boulle work of the highest quality and is in excellent condition. the fine cut glass inkwells with gilt bronze hinged lids are in perfect condition. between the inkwels is a pentray which has its original lid of superb quality. the desk set stands upon four original bracket feet. the ink stand has the royal appointment stamped in gilt into the base. england circa 1905. 12 inches wide by 8.5 inches deep by 5 inches high ( 30 cms by 21.25 cms by 12.5 cms).
