A most actractive little austrian bronze of a young girl sitting in a chair set upon a rouge marble base. it shows the young girl sitting in a chair winding wool into balls. at her feet is a basket full of balls of wool and beside the chair is a cat. to the front of the marble base is a bronze plaque inscribed " la deviduese par maxim" ( the wool winder by maxim). from the same series is #3495 ( put number in my site search). circa 1900. 4 inches wide by 3 inches deep by 5 inches high ( 10 cms by 7.5 cms by 12.5 cms).
