A fine lead crystal hand blown cut glass georgian tea caddy sugar bowl of very large proportions, measuring 6 inches high by 4.5 inches across, 15 x 12 cms. circa 1810. the bowl is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or damage. this sugar bowl is of excellent quality with a delicate cut band as decoration, it stands on an unusual base. these bowls are commonly called mixing bowls but it is documented and been proven that they were used for sugar and never mixing the two types of tea commonly kept in the larger caddies of the period.
