A fine 19th century oil on canvas painting by british school artist "el", signed and dated 1878 bottom left. the picture is a landscape at dusk with the moon rising, a figure in a corn field and church in the distance. overall size is 30.5 x 18.5 inches, 78 x 48 cms; the painting 23.5 x 11.5 inches, 60 x 30 cms. some small damage to the frame as seen in the photo.
