| A very rare and unusual summoning bell. In the form of a blackamoor carrying lobster pots. The figure of the negro in fire gilded ormolu and patinated bronze is from the first decade of the 19th century , circa 1810. He stands upon a gilt metal mounted naturalistic porcelain base below which is mounted the bell. You press the lever and release and a clear bell sounds. French circa 1810 and later. 5.75 inches high by 3.25 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep ( 14.37 cms by 8 cms by 8.75 cms). |
